From your issue description I understand that Windows 8 can’t find wireless printer.
In order to help you better please provide us the following information:
1) What is the Make and Model of the printer and computer?
2) Is the printer switched on?
- Parallels like other virtualization software for Macs uses a virtualized hardware layer. This layer doesn't have direct access to the real hardware (Type-2 Hypervisor). This includes the Wi-Fi-interface. Instead software ethernet bridges are used to access the hardware indirectly.
- Just installed Parallels on my Mac Book Pro and am running Windows 2000 as a virtual machine. I want my Windows 2000 programs to print to my wireless printer (Canon MP800). Problem is you need to identify a port in the printer set-up- which on my Dell was an IP address (10.0.1.10) which worked through my Linksys wireless Router.
With Shared mode, we use the Mac connection to connect to the external network. It’s the easiest to use because your VM can use any type of network connection available on the Mac to connect to Internet (Ethernet, wifi). Bridged mode is used when you want your VM to establish direct connection with your Mac network card.
3) Connect the printer directly to the computer and see if it works?
To fix this issue you can follow these steps:
Make sure the print spooler service is running.
Also clear the print caches by following these steps:
a) Open 'Computer' and browse to the below folder and delete all the files in it, 'c:windowssystem32spoolprinters'

b) Do the same to clear the content in the folder 'c:windowssystem32spooldriversw32x86'
c) Reboot.
If that does not work, then try to start the printer spooler service under services.msc.
